Notes to self

These paintings bring together the two main areas I worked in during my advertising career as both an Art Director and a Copywriter. That mix taught me to love the interplay between the image and the line; how words can shift the way you see a picture , and a picture can change the way you read the words. As with my image based paintings, I want these pieces to make the viewer think, smile and connect. In a world where we’re encouraged to present the best version of ourselves, to care too much about what others think and where everything feels like it’s happening all at once, this series takes a step back — a few thoughts to throw back into the pool, cheer you up, make you think or simply adorn your wall.
